Having a bathtub integrated into the
bedroom was a long-standing desire of the residents. The dream finally took shape in the 185 m² apartment they purchased in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. “This request was the starting point for the entire project and, without without a doubt, it became the highlight of the property”, says architect Vivian Reimers.
There, the mix of reddish marble with white cladding makes the space even more striking. The bathtub is covered in natural stone in Rosso Alicante marble.
To ensure that all of the clients’ wishes were met, the apartment’s layout had to be rethought. “We integrated the kitchen and living room, creating a single space,” explains Vivian.
In the kitchen, the coverings mix tones and textures. For the countertop, the choice was white onyx, which goes very well with a purple detail in the woodwork. This purple touch adds even more personality to the space, something requested by the residents.
In the dining room next door, the finishing touch was the
pendant light. To complete the look, the service area gained the unusual presence of a gourmet space, including a barbecue. "A complete project, with everything the couple needs to enjoy every corner of the apartment", concludes Reimers.
