Designed by architect
Fabiano Ravaglia (from
CASACOR Rio ), this
70 m² apartment is located in Botafogo (RJ) and belongs to a couple of engineers with a young son. The family requested a spacious home with fluid and inviting spaces. In addition,
the decor should focus on neutral and light tones. (Denilson Machado, do MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
The
MDF joinery and melamine in the American oak pattern (very light) create a soft atmosphere along with the wood-effect porcelain flooring. Materials with textures and earthy tones give movement and charm to the décor.

The
mirror positioned behind the sofa and dining table makes the room seem larger , a sensation amplified by the elimination of the balcony frames. Outside, a small gourmet counter with a barbecue joins the kitchen.

Sectorizing the social area,
the white island next to the TV has cabinets on the side facing the kitchen , increasing storage space.
In the
son's room , the carpentry was divided into
three colorful modules , filled with niches, a toy cabinet, a study bench, shelves and even a bench with a mirrored back, solutions that, in addition to decorating, made the long, narrow room seem wider and more organized.

In the
master suite , light tones evoke well-being and the
work bench extends across the entire wall , under the window.

Finally, the bathrooms feature a combination of white and gray coverings, as well as countertops with sculpted sinks and mirrored upper cabinets.
