A
200 m² apartment is the new home of a young couple with two children, who invited
Estúdio Maré , led by architect Lívia Leite, to adapt the spaces, incorporate some furniture and works of art from the family's collection and bring
more modernity to the home .
To achieve this, two elements were fundamental:
painting and carpentry . Together, they brought a totally new and much more contemporary atmosphere that reflects the trendy and contagious look of Jardins, the neighborhood where the apartment is located.
The
bathroom had minimal interventions. The main feature was the foliage
wallpaper . The old sink and the burnt cement floor were kept.
For the TV room, the
clients' sofa was refurbished . Previously covered in dark green fabric, the piece was transformed with pink fabric, which brought more lightness and harmony – and, as a bonus, harmonized with the clients' artwork.
The living room with dining area is the main space of the apartment. An
island sofa with a movable backrest is the highlight, and ensures a more flexible and adaptable layout. The paintings were signed by
Gabriel Wickbold . In the couple's bedroom, Estúdio Maré designed a
blue MDF headboard with wide slats . This choice highlighted the size of the wall and the bed, creating a cozy and sophisticated environment. Bedside tables and wall lights complete the look of the room, making it more functional and comfortable.
In the children's room, the idea was
to combine the existing furniture with a new bedside table , wall lights and a themed wall sticker with a world map. This approach brought a more playful aspect, meeting the needs of growth and fun.
