Anyone who enters this year's
CASACOR Paraná , which runs until October 17 in Curitiba, is immediately struck by the impact: from the top of a mezzanine, it is possible to see
four surprising environments that were designed inside the pools of Curitiba's grand multi-sports center. The professionals faced the challenge of creating elegant, creative and cozy spaces in a
location without walls or ceilings, without making holes or other actions that would affect the structure of the pools . "These environments represent the
process of resignification that we are all inevitably going through at the moment. It took a lot of courage on our part, the organizers of the Show, and on the part of the exhibitors, to implement this project. But the result could not be more interesting", argues
Marina Nessi , director of CASACOR Paraná.
The first space, created by
Luciana Gibaile , is the
Decompression Room . The designer says that she took advantage of the unusual nature of the space to offer something new, which provides reflections on the social, emotional and physical importance of decompression rooms for well-being at work.
Next up is
Living da Lareira , by
Alexandre Weiss and
Nelson Machado . The architects say they were encouraged to create –
in record time – a space inside a 100 m² pool without a cover or partitions. “We were able to create a
perfect place to bring people together in a relaxed and welcoming way, which can be adapted for indoor or outdoor areas, bringing nature in through biophilic design,” explains Machado.
The
VIP Lounge was created by
Viviane Tabalipa . The architect took advantage of the view from the top of the pool throughout its entire length to house a
space filled with handcrafted elements and textures related to emotional memories . “The highlight of the project are the natural fiber structures, like small huts that become private, intimate and welcoming lounges,” he describes.
Finally, we have the
Pool Party space, designed by
Felipe Guerra , who claims that its environment rescues the essence of the original building and assumes the pool as the central compositional element. “The world of water, inspired by the originality of being inside a swimming pool, was the main reference. Large sculptures, special lighting, a palette of blues and furniture suitable for wet areas
invite everyone to take a playful dip in celebration and reconnect with life ,” emphasizes the architect.
