One of these environments is Chez Odara, by architect Marcelo Salum , which features a decor with a strong Brazilian identity, inspired by the song Odara, by Caetano Veloso. The spacious living room, dedicated to the celebration of MPB and gatherings with friends, features a green wallpaper with a forest theme , which comes from Greek mythology from the God Pan, protector of the forests and music. The relaxed tropical atmosphere is repeated in the half-wall paneling, with pieces designed by stylist Isabela Capeto , and in the natural stone cladding that decorates the space. On the wall above the sofa, original works by photographer Vania Toledo , which portray great names of MPB, such as Caetano Veloso himself, Gal Costa, Roberto Carlos, Erasmo Carlos and Nara Leão, are the main focal point. The artist Juliano Aguiar made the sculpture “The Faun” especially for the environment. Another space with a unique atmosphere is Entre Tramas e Histórias , by Cristina Iglesias , which elevates handmade rugs to the status of works of art, displaying them as paintings. The environment immediately transports visitors to a store in some distant country, like Turkey and Egypt , with their handlooms and mysterious climate. The unique pieces made by nomadic tribes display designs that tell a little about the history of each people , bringing such ancestral knowledge closer to visitors. Leandro Sumar - Seperti Mimpi. Architect Leandro Sumar brought the Seperti Mimpi environment, with beach inspiration, to the show. The space is reminiscent of a sophisticated loft of some surfer around the world. With more sober tones , which range from gray, the theme appears in selected details, as in the painting of plank at the entrance and on the wavy wooden ceiling. The masculine atmosphere is both strong and soft – like a sea breeze. The hydraulic tiles on the wall of the home office serve as another point of movement in the space. The Paradiso Deca Bathroom , designed by the Delpizzo Arquitetura office, by Cristiana and Giovani Delpizzo, was inspired by the book “Great Expectations”, by Charles Dickens. The plot was adapted for the big screen in 1985 and resulted in a feature film full of striking and playful scenes . The light color palette, organic furniture , Corten steel crockery and metals, and a small "urban jungle" take visitors to a place far from the bustling Florianópolis. The space Meu Particular Infinito , designed by Anna Maya , presents an intriguing environment for a home theater room, which seems to have come out of some film or series that takes place in some distant country. Normally a less decorated place, where the TV or screens are the protagonists, the project brought an imposing architecture and, at the same time, stripped down and impactful . Circular shapes dominate the space and appear on the walls, ceiling, furniture, decorative elements and carpet. Sober tones, such as terracotta, give an
intimate feel to the high-ceilinged space.
The covering that envelops the entire space forms a unique box that makes visitors feel welcome. It has a sustainable bias , as it is made from natural stones reused from marble factories . Architect Juliana Loffi also opted for a very bold environment to create Casa Vou de Rosa , focusing on vibrant and cheerful colors in an environment full of life. Pink predominates on the exterior and interior, in reference to the Pink October campaign, the month of awareness about breast cancer – a disease that the professional faced twice. The colorful translucent doors create an atmosphere with unique effects at different times of the day. The ethereal and welcoming environment is a concept space assembled in a modular house, which, due to the special construction system, can be disassembled and moved to another location, as well as in the idea of “nomadic life” so popular nowadays.
