October hasn't even started, but the feeling of the end of the year is already starting to show its first signs - and with that comes the curiosity to know what the decor trends for 2026 will be. In 2025, 93% of connected Brazilians used Artificial Intelligence tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot, according to a survey by Conversion in partnership with ESPM. With this in mind, we decided to "talk to ChatGPT," the artificial intelligence from OpenAI, to find out what directions will be trending both in Brazil and abroad in 2026. Below, check out the decorating trends identified by the platform:

1. Earthy palettes and warm neutrals

The earth tones remain favorites in decoration. Terracottas, reddish browns, mossy greens, and buttery beiges will continue to be essential palettes for homes seeking warmth. These colors serve as a versatile and timeless base, while still embracing personality.

2. Textures and natural materials

The touch matters - a lot. Wood in rustic finishes, exposed stones, handmade ceramics, and natural fibers such as straw and rattan are taking the spotlight. The result is more sensory spaces that invite use and bring the home closer to nature.

3. Urban refuge

More than beauty, living in 2026 should offer quality of life. This means thinking about lighting that follows the rhythm of the day, pleasant acoustics, integration with green areas, and even solutions that improve air quality.

4. Sculptural furniture

Pieces are moving beyond being just functional to becoming the stars of the projects. Bulky sofas, chairs with bold shapes, and tables that resemble works of art make a statement. These choices provide immediate style and do not require excessive decorative embellishments.

5. Sustainability and local value

Recycled materials, reclaimed wood, and objects made by local artisans: environmental awareness translates into responsible choices, but also into more authentic homes connected to the culture of each place. A trend that is not fleeting but a path of no return.
