3 environments at CASA COR Minas that combat stress!

Did you know that Brazil is the second country in the world with the most people stressed out by work? This was the result of the latest survey conducted by the Stress Control Association. And there is nothing better than a cozy and comfortable corner to relax in. Based on this, some professionals from CASA COR Minas Gerais 2016 suggest solutions and ideas that can make the home a place of refuge and peace.

For architect Junior Piacesi, a house needs to have some elements that evoke lightness and provide the resident with a space where they can truly rest. “The ideal is for the house to embrace you, and for this, the main elements to be worked on are light, greenery, ventilation and colors. Very light colors can make people feel calmer,” he says.

The professional is responsible for the Master Suite - Hotel Room , in the Minas Gerais exhibition, where integration with nature is the starting point of the project. The space has a glass box in the bathroom that goes from the ceiling to the floor, allowing natural light to enter during the day. In addition to the use of glass, the architect highlights the composition of the rooms with flowers, distributed throughout the house, and the use of natural materials, which help to bring good feelings. “Materials such as stones and other natural elements are trends. They are intended to bring this stressed man closer to nature. Colors can also be allies. I always bet on white, which is a timeless color that never tires”, explains Piacesi.

Interior designer Melina Mundim’s goal is to use appropriate furniture that evokes relaxation, allowing residents to rest and enjoy their home. She designed the Master Suite at the Minas Gerais show and included elements that help to leave stress aside. “While it is a concrete and contemporary space, I didn’t want to leave aside the idea of making it a place to rest. The armchair next to the bed, like a pouf, allows people to relax in the bedroom without having to lie down in bed. The corner of the armchair, for example, with the desk, provides a moment of relaxation for reading and writing, and even for a short nap. The more focused lighting also creates a cozy environment,” describes Melina.

And for those who need to combine home and work, interior designer Iara Santos will be presenting a light and welcoming Home Office project at CASA COR Minas 2016 , which allows residents to work without the stress of routine and large companies. To achieve this, first of all, the space does not have a corporate design layout, precisely for people who want to work from home in a more relaxed way. “The furniture, desk, chair, and sideboard, have leather details, which provide a delightful sensation to the touch. The neutral-colored wool rug and the suede curtain give the space a cozy touch. The fun mobile unit with rotating drawers, together with the works of art, help to create a softer atmosphere in the space intended for work,” she concludes.
