Today, there is a wide variety of models available on the market, with different shapes, sizes, frames, and even distinct functionalities. The right choice depends on both the decorative style and the practical needs of those using the projects.
A well-placed mirror can enhance the woodwork, the cladding, and even highlight the lighting, whether natural or artificial. Therefore, more than just a simple decorative element, it should be considered an integral part of the project.
The most traditional position for the mirror in the bathroom is above the sink or countertop. This configuration favors functional use and enhances the composition of the space, uniting aesthetics and practicality. The mirror can cover the entire area of the wall or only the area corresponding to the width of the countertop, depending on the desired style.
In washrooms, for example, the mirror usually takes center stage, with unusual shapes or striking frames that create a focal point in the decor.

In bolder projects, suspended mirrors are gaining space: held by metal rods or cords, they work well in bathrooms with windows behind the countertop. What is important is to ensure a good fixation, preferably away from very humid areas, and use appropriate materials to avoid stains or damage over time.
To ensure comfort in use, the mirror should be installed at a height that favors ergonomics. Generally, it starts about 30 cm above the countertop and can extend to eye level – typically around 1.60 m from the floor.
However, this standard can be adjusted according to the height of the residents and the style of the bathroom. In modern projects, it is common for the mirror to extend from the countertop to the ceiling, creating an elegant and functional vertical line.

Large mirrors, which cover the entire area of the sink or even the wall, are a current trend and help to enhance the lighting and the claddings.

Regardless of size, the choice should always consider the visual balance with the other elements of the bathroom.
