Viviane Teles - Biobilheteria. Vigas e arcos de bambu laminado com 8 m de extensão estruturam o pavilhão de 11 m de diâmetro que abriga a bilheteria. Os componentes estão amarrados por uma trama, também de bambu, que lembra a casca da fruta Physalis, na qual está tensionada a lona semitranslúcida e impermeável que fecha a armação. A construção experimental materializa a pesquisa da arquiteta potiguar Viviane Teles na área da bioarquitetura e a influência dos materiais naturais na saúde e no bem-estar das pessoas. No centro do espaço, uma imponente luminária de bambu e micélio com cerca de 2,5 m de altura foi produzida sob medida pelo estúdio Ola Luminárias Acústicas. Nas aberturas laterais, há esculturas do artista Luiz Martins.

From urban memory to reflections on technology, the cultural programming of São Paulo in June brings together exhibitions, performances and films that explore contemporary issues from different perspectives.

Among the highlights are shows dedicated to photography, contemporary art and Japanese culture. In addition, the month of June marks the beginning of CASACOR São Paulo 2026, with 70 projects occupying Parque da Água Branca. Below, check out our cultural agenda!

CASACOR São Paulo

CASACOR São Paulo 2026 brings together some of the leading names in architecture, interior design, landscaping and art. With the theme Mind and Heart, the show proposes a reflection on the role of the home as a space of welcome, reconnection and well-being.

Along the route at Parque da Água Branca, visitors will find 70 projects, including architectural projects, artistic installations, shops and incredible gastronomic operations.

Shiro: a scale of nuances

In Japan, white occupies a singular place in the cultural imagination, associated with concepts such as peace, purification, silence and lightness. This relationship is the starting point of the exhibition Shiro: a scale of nuances, which explores the meanings and different tonalities attributed to the color within Japanese tradition.

Curated by Natasha Barzaghi Geenen, the show presents a journey built around four elements — paper, silk, snow and salt — revealing their connections to the country's culture. Divided into thematic sections, the exhibition invites visitors to observe how a single color can take on multiple symbolic and sensory meanings.

Poetic Living

French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel presents his first institutional exhibition at the Bardi Institute – Glass House. Titled Poetic Living, the show brings together unprecedented works developed especially to dialogue with the architecture of the residence and with the creative legacy of Lina Bo Bardi.

Vórtice Festival

With the participation of 147 artists from 22 countries, the Vórtice Festival holds its fifth edition and reinforces its role as one of the main platforms dedicated to the connections between contemporary art, body and sexuality in Latin America. The program brings together different visual languages and artistic investigations that address themes related to desire, affection and body experiences.

Postcard City - Paintings by Gladys Maldaun

São Paulo's urban transformations are the starting point of the exhibition POSTCARD CITY – Paintings by Gladys Maldaun. The show offers a look at different moments of the São Paulo capital through works that capture buildings, public spaces and landscapes that have marked the city's history over the past decades.

Bringing together more than 20 works including paintings, watercolors and pastels, the exhibition presents monuments, railway stations, factories and everyday scenes portrayed by artist Gladys Maldaun.

When dream meets blue

In June, the Museum of Image and Sound hosts the exhibition When dream meets blue, by artist and photographer Daniela Dib. With artistic direction by Marcelo Greco, the show presents about 15 unreleased photographs produced between 2021 and 2026, marked by plays of light, reflections and landscapes that move between dream and reality.

Part of MIS's New Photography 2026 program, the exhibition stems from Dib's investigation of blue as a visual and symbolic element. Inspired by studies on the absence of the word in some ancient civilizations, the artist explores the color as a subtle presence, associated with contemplation and the imaginary.

In dialogue with rare photographs and urban memories, the accounts present perspectives marked by distinct generations, territories and social contexts. The show proposes a reflection on São Paulo from feminine experiences that help build the city's memory.

Donatello

With humor, sensitivity and a narrative crossed by affective memories, Donatello addresses themes such as aging, family relationships and the impacts of Alzheimer's on everyday life. The plot follows Amendoim, a character played by Vitor Rocha, who revisits his journey alongside his grandfather after the disease's diagnosis.

At each performance, words suggested by the audience are incorporated into the text, creating small changes in the narrative and making each session unique. Directed by Victoria Ariante, the production bets on an intimate stagingto bring viewers and characters closer together.

Shrek - The Musical

The Shrek universe has gained a new adaptation for Brazilian stages with the premiere of Shrek – The Musical. Inspired by the animation that captivated different generations, the show follows the adventures of cinema's most famous ogre in a production geared toward the whole family.

The cast brings together well-known names from musical theater, such as Tiago Abravanel in the role of Shrek, Evelyn Castro as Donkey, and Myra Ruiz and Fabi Bang alternating as Fiona. The production is impressive in scale, with 30 actors on stage and more than 940 costume pieces, recreating the fairy tale universe with humor, music and sets that transport the audience to the enchanted kingdom of the story.

With text by Sérgio Abritta, the show brings together a sequence of independent sketches that explore common situations of life as a couple. Among everyday habits, disagreements and marital dilemmas, the production uses humor to portray recognizable aspects of contemporary relationships.
