The return of vinyl has reshaped the way music is consumed, bringing back not only the physical format, but also the experience of choosing, listening and lingering. In São Paulo, this movement spreads across different neighborhoods, revealing a circuit that ranges from traditional crate-digging to more hybrid spaces, where the vinyl record coexists with coffee, a bar, and socializing.

Between specialized galleries, historic secondhand shops and contemporary stores, each place offers its own way of exploring vinyl — whether through the rarity of the collection, the curation, or the atmosphere that invites you to stay. Check out our recommendations below!

Galeria Nova Barão

Galeria Nova Barão has established itself as one of the main spots for those looking for vinyl in downtown São Paulo, bringing together more than 30 specialized shops and a wide variety of musical genres. Highlights include Made in Quebrada Discos, Embaixada Dance Music, Sub Discos and Locomotiva Discos. With affordable prices, the space invites unhurried crate-digging, in a setting that has become a reference point for collectors and the curious.

Address: Rua Sete de Abril, 154 and Rua Barão de Itapetininga, 37 - República.

Galeria do Rock

For four decades, Galeria do Rock has stood as one of São Paulo’s main cultural hubs. The space brings together a wide variety of shops — among them, several dedicated to music and records, such as Baratos Afins, Rockway and London Calling.

Address: Avenida São João, 439 - Centro.

Casarão do Vinil

Casarão do Vinil, in Mooca, brings together one of the largest collections in Latin America, with more than 1 million records and hundreds of thousands available for sale. Since its opening, in 2014, the space has become a cultural reference in São Paulo, bringing together not only LPs, but also singles, 78 rpm records, magazines, books and comic books, composing a diverse collection that spans different moments in Brazilian music.

Address: Rua dos Trilhos, 1212 – Mooca.

Eric Discos

With more than two decades of history, Eric Discos, in Pinheiros, has established itself as one of the most comprehensive vinyl stores in São Paulo. The space brings together a broad collection that includes used records, rarities and hard-to-find CDs. Known for its variety and the presence of older titles — especially in rock — the store has become a reference point for those who appreciate musical crate-digging.

Address: R. Artur de Azevedo, 1874 - Pinheiros.

Now Play Vinyl Store

Opened in 2024, Now Play Vinyl Store brings together around 700 new records, among domestic and imported titles, in a space that goes beyond the traditional store concept. The place combines record sales with a bar that serves coffee, beer and other drinks, creating an atmosphere geared toward socializing. Inspired both by old-school record stores and by Japanese jazz kissas, Now Play offers a more unhurried experience to customers.

Address: Rua Maria Carolina, 692 - loja 1 - Pinheiros.

Sebo do Messias

Sebo do Messias, with its more than 50 years of history, has become a meeting point in downtown São Paulo for those interested in culture in general. Among books, magazines, comic books, CDs and DVDs, the vinyl collection stands out for its variety and the presence of imported titles in great condition. Although it also offers online sales, the in-person experience reveals the scale of the space, which has an inventory updated daily with about a thousand new items.

Address: Praça Dr. João Mendes, 140 – Sé.
