Tarsila, the Brazilian - Teatro Santander
The musical that tells the life and work of
Tarsila do Amaral reaches its last month in São Paulo. The play marks the return of
Claudia Raia to the stage and features other big names, such as Jarbas Homem de Mello, Claudia's husband, Keila Bueno, Dennis Pinheiro and Ivan Parente.

A series of previously unpublished photographs taken by
Sebastião Salgado during his coverage of the
Carnation Revolution in the 1970s are on display at the MIS. The exhibition features more than
50 photographs that have been kept in storage for the past
50 years and is being made public for the
first time on the anniversary of one of the greatest milestones in the history of Portugal and democracy in Europe.

At MASP, " Mário de Andrade: Duas Vidas" brings together a set of paintings, drawings, engravings, sculptures and photographs from the personal collection of the Brazilian intellectual, active in the first half of the 20th century, from the perspective of a queer sensibility . The exhibition presents a selection of 88 works from the intellectual's collection and reflects on items from his collection of visual arts and photographs that he lived with in his private life, far from the eyes of censorship and the prejudices prevailing at the time.

At the Instituto Moreira Salles, the exhibition honoring the career of filmmaker and photographer Jorge Bodanzky takes visitors to his work during the Brazilian military dictatorship (1964-1985) . The period encompasses his early photographic production, experiments in super-8 , reports for German TV and some of his major feature films. The filmmaker is known for renewing Brazilian cinema by mixing documentary and fiction to address the sociopolitical conflicts of the period when the developmentalist mantle covered the country with violence and oppression.

“Lygia Clark: Project for a Planet” occupies the seven galleries of Pina Luz with more than
150 works that demonstrate the legacy of the artist’s
career spanning over 30 years and commemorating her centenary, presenting works such as
Project for a Planet (1960) – from the series
Animals , which gives its name to the exhibition. Lygia Clark (1920-1988) is one of the
most important names in contemporary Brazilian art , part of a generation responsible for
expanding languages, establishing links with sociocultural issues and engaging all people, whether artists or not, in the
