Set in the city of Picuí, in Brazil, the film blends science fiction and suspense. In the plot, scientists try to eradicate the Aedes aegypti mosquito, a transmitter of dengue, through an experiment involving uranium. Mano, an idealistic young man who has always criticized this brutal system, is forced to take part in the race to save his own sister.

The crossing, which lasted about 100 days, is portrayed in the film as a physical and psychological challenge, marked by courage, determination, and reflection on the limits of human endurance.

Scheduled to premiere in October 2026, the film is a biopic that recounts the moving true story of Jesse Koz and his inseparable golden retriever, Shurastey. The plot follows the five-year journey of the influencer from Santa Catarina who decided to drop everything to travel across the Americas aboard a 1978 Beetle. Along the way, he shares experiences, encounters, and reflections on freedom, friendship, and the unconditional love between humans and animals.

Inspired by the famous song by Chico Buarque, the film follows the story of Geni, a prostitute who lives in a riverside community in the heart of the Amazon. Marginalized by the residents, she unexpectedly becomes a key piece when the region is invaded by a troop led by a dictator who arrives in a huge zeppelin. Faced with the threat, the population tries to flee along the rivers but ends up cornered. When the commander takes an interest in Geni, the young woman realizes she can use the situation to alter everyone’s fate.

The feature adapts for the cinema the book “Quarto de Despejo: Diário de uma Favelada”, by Carolina Maria de Jesus. The work portrays the writer’s life in the Canindé favela, in São Paulo, during the 1950s. Carolina supported her children by collecting paper and recyclable materials while recording her routine in notebooks found in the trash. In 1958, her writings were discovered by a journalist and became a global bestseller, revealing her powerful literary voice to the world.
