On World Chocolate Day, celebrated on July 7, there is no shortage of reasons to give in to one of the world's most beloved sweets. Far beyond the traditional bars and bonbons, artisanal chocolate is increasingly valued thanks to the attention given to the origin of the cocoa, the production processes, and the creativity of the chocolatiers!

In São Paulo, this movement gains strength in chocolate shops that transform the ingredient into gastronomic experiences, with signature recipes and unusual combinations. To celebrate the date, we have gathered addresses that chocolate lovers cannot miss in the city!

Chocolat du Jour

Chocolat du Jour is a Brazilian brand of fine bean to bar chocolates, founded in 1987 by Claudia Landmann, whose goal was to make the best truffle in the world. Today, the brand is a benchmark in high-quality chocolates and continues to produce the traditional Truffe du Jour, offered in tins and boxes with different flavor options – including milk, noir, champagne, croquat, 70% cocoa, and blanc. In addition to the truffles, the chocolate bars are a hit, especially the Fantasia, made with brulée chocolate, macadamia nuts, and fleur de sel.

  • Address: One of the Chocolat du Jour locations is inside CASACOR São Paulo 2026 (Rua Dona Ana Pimentel, 37 - Água Branca, São Paulo).

Petite Fleur

The artisanal confectionery Petite Fleur celebrates the delicacy and precision of French patisserie with signature recipes and meticulous execution. The house relies on selected ingredients and refined aesthetics to create elegant and balanced sweets.

In its recently inaugurated café, it is possible to find the traditional sweets as well as a selection of handcrafted chocolate bars. Among the options, the standouts are milk chocolate with popcorn flakes, milk chocolate filled with caramelized almonds, and Belgian milk chocolate with fleur de sel.

  • Address: Av. Horácio Lafer, 523 - Itaim Bibi, São Paulo

Tchocolath

Famous for its honey bread, the artisanal chocolate brand Tchocolath maintains a family tradition that stands out for its high quality standard. Since 1986, the brand has used the same recipes and the same milk chocolate blend in its classic products, in addition to always bringing novelties for special dates.

To get to know the brand's flavors, a good option is the Best-Selling Honey Bread box, which contains ten units in the flavors traditional milk, dulce de leche, brigadeiro, Sicilian lemon, and gianduia. The brand also offers a selection of bonbons, bars, and cookies, such as the Nutella Wafer, coated with a milk chocolate blend.

  • Address: Rua Antônio Afonso, 19 - Vila Nova Conceição, São Paulo

Hagi Torrones & Chocolates

Hagi is an artisanal nougat and chocolate shop recognized for its bean-to-bar chocolates produced with wild cocoa from the Amazon. The brand was born from the Hagi family's search for quality nougats, but soon began producing chocolates such as the 70% cocoa bar from Tomé-açu, in Pará, with dehydrated mango, and the Banoffee dragée (dried banana coated with 42% milk chocolate and caramelized white chocolate). Another highlight is the caramelized chocolate bar with dried banana and cashew nuts — which won the bronze medal at the international Chocolate Awards 2023.

  • Address: Rua Cônego Eugênio Leite, 629 - Pinheiros, São Paulo

Mica Chocolates

The Mica factory is a feast for chocolate lovers. There, it is possible to closely follow the production process of the brand's artisanal sweets. The house's flagship products are the hand-painted artisanal bonbons, prepared with delicate shells and fillings ranging from the classics to more creative combinations. Among the highlights for the date is the Three Chocolates, made with a milk chocolate shell, layers of white and milk ganache, plus a 54% chocolate crunch.

In celebration of World Chocolate Day, the brand also holds its traditional free bonbon distribution. In partnership with Callebaut, the action will gift customers and passersby with 10,000 units of the best-seller Caramel with Salt, composed of a thin milk chocolate shell filled with buttery vanilla caramel and finished with a touch of Maldon salt.

  • Address: Rua Artur de Azevedo, 1199 – Pinheiros, São Paulo. The free distribution will also take place at Shopping JK Iguatemi, Shopping Cidade São Paulo, and near the Trianon-Masp and Consolação stations.

Renata Arassiro Chocolates

Founded in 2007, Renata Arassiro Chocolates is a benchmark in fine chocolate making, recognized for its quality and innovative design. The brand stands out for the originality of its flavors and design, using Belgian and French raw materials, harmonizing them with typically Brazilian ingredients. Bonbons such as Passion Fruit with Banana Cachaça, Pecan Praline with cumaru perfume, and Paçoca Praline are some of the house's acclaimed signatures.

The brand is led by Chef Chocolatière Renata Arassiro, who was the first Brazilian to be named Callebaut Ambassador in Brazil, as well as the first woman to represent Brazil at the Coupe Du Monde de la Pâtisserie.
