These urban refuges show that it is possible to slow down and reconnect with the projects without leaving the city. Below, we have selected nine must-visit places to connect with nature in São Paulo, appealing to both adventurers and those looking for a peaceful outing.

1. Cachoeira do Engordador (Cantareira State Park)

Located within the Cantareira State Park in the northern zone, the Cachoeira do Engordador is one of the few points in São Paulo where it is possible to dive into crystal-clear waters surrounded by native forest. Access is via a trail of about 3 km, considered easy to moderate level. During the journey, visitors can observe typical species of the Atlantic Forest, such as palms, vines, and giant ferns. It is a perfect outing for those who wish to cool off and escape the concrete.

Known as the largest trail in the city, the Interparks Trail extends 182 km and connects various Conservation Units and protected areas in the southern zone of São Paulo. More than just a simple route, the Interparks Trail proposes a complete immersion in São Paulo's nature, revealing a little-known face of the city: that of forests, rivers, and traditional communities that resist urban advancement. It is an ideal experience for those who wish to explore the wild and sustainable side of the capital without leaving its limits.

3. Cantareira State Park (Pedra Grande Core)

In addition to the waterfall, the Pedra Grande core is another highlight of Cantareira. The trail leading to the viewpoint is about 9 km (round trip) and rewards with one of the most impressive views of the city. From the top, it is possible to see the skyline of São Paulo emerging among the treetops of the trees. It is an ideal destination for those looking for a refreshing walk and panoramic views.
