The textures of nature and what they provide us in their natural habitat have been reproduced in this apartment in Florianópolis (SC) signed by the architects
Marcelo Wolschick and Alexandre Müller, from
Woho Arquitetura, part of the
CASACOR Santa Catarina exhibit.
The
84 m² project includes the integration of the exterior with the interior, prioritizing the well-being of the residents. With two
bedrooms, the apartment's premise from the beginning was the optimization and rationalization of the spaces.
The first intervention by the office was to mimic an extensive wall with a level change caused by structural elements of the building. Right at the entrance,
the wall covered with natural stone Madeira Branca Aré took center stage. “At the same time that this wall has the dynamism of the stone layout, we created a contrast with a more rational woodwork, with a play of solids and voids to give a filling and contrast,” comments Alexandre.
Among the material choices, the floor received porcelain tiles that faithfully represent the stone it was inspired by, creating even the same relief perceptible to touch.
“In contrast to the choice of the materials from the rest of the projects, we created a clear and elegant contrast, following the line of natural and light materials such as wood MDF and green granite countertop in a flamed finish for the
kitchen. The composition of colors and materials in all projects express and create connections between themselves, but without losing the individuality of each resident,” adds Marcelo.
The couple's suite, as well as the
daughter's bedroom, also follows the same style, with soft tones contrasting with the textures of the materials.
