A vibrant house, filled with color and light. This was the request from the client to the office
Ana Weege Arquitetura – from the lineup
CASACOR São Paulo – when explaining what her dream home would be like. The backdrop for the project was a
200 m² property in Jaraguá do Sul (SC), home to an independent woman who loves to cook, entertain, celebrate life, and her 5-year-old daughter.
The transformation was radical. The renovation included replacing the entire drywall ceiling, coverings, flooring, doors, and lighting.
An original fireplace was removed, making way for an inviting entrance hall. The ground floor underwent a complete remodel and the
staircase was revitalized with the application of moledo stone on the entire wall. A special request was a large functional marble island in the gourmet space, which became one of the hearts of the house.
The
entrance hall features a shelf suspended from the ceiling displaying elements at varying heights, filling the wall. A 1960s modernist sideboard stands out. On the granilite floor, planters made of the same material seem to spring from the ground, creating an intentionally misaligned composition with colorful decorative objects.

The living room is filled with vibrant colors. A generous rug designed by the architect demarcates the space. The ochre suede sofa and the white leather armchair complement cherry-colored chairs. The selection of modernist furniture, sourced from antique shops, integrates harmoniously with contemporary pieces, such as the jacaranda table by Giuseppe Scapinelli.
Retro colors are balanced by details in black, white, and wood, ensuring flow and illumination to the highly integrated space. Moderna, pop e fun: casa reúne cores vibrantes e esconderijo sob escada. Projeto de Ana Weege. Na foto, espaço gourmet com mesa e balcão curvo. (Bia Nauiack/Divulgação)
The sinuous design of the custom natural American oak cabinetry defines the dining room. The oval table by
Tiago Curioni, with organically shaped chairs, is the center of attention, illuminated by fixtures designed by
Carol Gay. A china cabinet and buffet meet reception needs. Details in pistachio tones – in the bar embedded in the buffet, the legs of the counter, and the movable shelf – bring irreverence.

The highlight of the TV room is the shelf that, at first glance, seems only functional under the stairs.
However, it hides a secret: when moved, it reveals a 'hide place', where the little resident can explore at will. The moledo stone wall gets a special touch with a slatted wooden panel, mixing two natural elements. A sisal rug, an acrylic side table, and a sofa with a Poul M. Volther caramel suede armchair (Denmark) complete this sensory and cozy mix.
Finally, social interaction is the star of the gourmet space. The Vesúvio quartzite covers the countertops, with its veins and intense colors. A spacious light wood storage area, which includes a china cabinet and preparation area, completes the space.
