Carpentry was essential to make the most of the space in this 59 m² duplex loft located in the Sudoeste neighborhood of Brasília. The renovation was coordinated by architect Mariana Leal , head of the Morada 31.12 office, and a team from CASACOR Brasília . The professional inserted articulated wooden panels that transform the living room into a second bedroom .

The São Gabriel granite kitchen countertop was kept as delivered by the construction company, but gained an extension in carpentry, used both for quick meals and as a support for work and studies.
Custom tiles were applied to the wall to delimit the spaces. “The shelves suspended above the counter make household utensils accessible, adding modernity and practicality to the routine,” says Mariana. On the upper floor, the closet was remodeled with the inclusion of a study bench. The suite was converted into a bedroom and shared bathroom, to serve residents, guests and visitors. The TV stand has many doors and drawers, adding storage space. “Light tones with blue accents reflect the client’s personality, who wanted a light, contemporary and practical space, with a beachy feel that strayed from the obvious,” concludes the architect.
