Signed by the office GAM Arquitetos – part of the lineup of CASACOR Bahia – this apartment of 390 m² in Salvador underwent a complete renovation, where the original layout was redesigned to meet the desires of a couple of doctors and their two children: a home that was at the same time an intimate refuge and a vibrant space to welcome friends.

Called the project Nogueira, the name reveals the protagonist of the décor: walnut wood. Used in panels, shelves, and fixed furniture, it acts as the thread that brings visual unity and a tactile feeling of warmth. Inspired by the warm and serene palette of autumn, the visual conception bets on neutral tones and natural textures, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance that avoids fleeting trends.

To solve the challenge of integrating the large social area without sacrificing privacy, the architects resorted to smart carpentry solutions. Sliding doors and open shelves allow environments like the home office and the TV room to connect to the living area or to completely isolate, ensuring versatility in everyday use. This pursuit of sophistication extends to the material curation, which highlights brushed marble in the kitchen and the imposing black marble in the social lavabo.

In addition to the aesthetics, the project also prioritized technology and infrastructure: complete updates were made to the electrical and plumbing systems to accommodate a scenic lighting project, state-of-the-art climate control, and home automation.
