Located in Teresina, in Piauí, this apartment of 220 m² was purchased in poor condition by a couple with a small daughter. From the beginning, the goal was to transform the property into a home that reflected the family's needs, with integrated projects, a cozy atmosphere, and the use of natural materials, such as light wood flooring. To lead the renovation, the residents consulted the architect Vangii Guerra – from the cast of CASACOR Piauí – recommended by friends.

The project promoted a complete renovation, with significant structural changes. The living room was expanded with the integration of the balcony, the kitchen opened to the social area and expanded with the incorporation of the former service area, while a shrimp-style frame in freijó wood favored the connection between the projects. The couple's suite gained a closet and all finishes were replaced. The new layout includes an integrated living and dining room, kitchen, lavatory, pantry, service area and bathroom, circulation, office, two suites for the children, master suite with closet, and integrated balcony.

The concept was to create a sophisticated and timeless space, without sacrificing comfort. Passionate about art and authorial design, the residents opted for a neutral palette that could welcome new pieces over the years. Thus, all the decoration was renewed, with curation made in partnership with the clients. "A great admirer of Brazilian furniture, especially the creations of Jader Almeida, Remi actively participated in the choices and insisted on including iconic pieces from the designer, such as the sofa and the matching table," says the architect.

The choice of materials reinforces the lightness sought by the couple: natural oak flooring, freijó paneling and ceiling, walls painted in snow white, and white linen cambric curtains. Highlights include the wooden entrance portico, the freijó wood shelving designed by the architect, and in the kitchen, the island with rounded corners, the built-in refrigerator, and the countertop hood, which combine sophistication and practicality.

Completed in just six months, the project had as its biggest challenge the demolition phase, due to the initial poor condition of the property. Once this phase was overcome, the result was an apartment renovated in every detail, which combines sophistication, comfort, and functionality with the family's lifestyle.
