Located in the heart of Pinheiros (SP), this apartment of 148 m² was designed for a couple of entrepreneurs who were already familiar with the work of Mandril Arquitetura, part of the CASACOR São Paulo lineup. In their second residential collaboration with the firm, the goal was to transform the original layout into a refuge that balanced the rigor of chic contemporary style with the vibrant and artistic soul of the residents. The result is a home that stands out for its selective use of colors over a neutral base and the meticulous curation of pieces from national design.

The major structural transformation of the project occurred in the social area. The integration of the balcony into the living room provided an increase of almost 32 m², a crucial area to create a fluidity between the living rooms, dining room, and the true heart of the house: the kitchen. In it, a 4 m island organizes the flow and invites for socializing.

To maintain a clean and functional aesthetic, the firm invested in wood panels with camouflaged doors that hide the service and intimate areas, preserving the visual continuity and elegance of the graphite gray lacquer and Louro Freijó wood.

In the social hall, the lighting is exclusively provided by a tensioned canvas that runs from floor to ceiling, while the lavatory — the biggest technical challenge of the project — features a play of shadows and textures with the quartzite Fusion with organic edges and indirect lighting.

In the living room, the memory of the building is preserved through the exposed raw structural elements, which contrast with the refinement of the Baleia Table and the Piscina Table (Estúdio Rain). In the office, the bluish color envelops the walls, creating an immersive atmosphere full of personality.

The intimate area follows the premise of functionality and comfort. In the master suite, the division between the bedroom and closet is made by sliding doors that repeat the striped details of the cabinetry, allowing the couple to adapt the space according to their routine.

Touches of caramel leather on the headboard and wired glass in the guest suite complete the material palette, which values timelessness without giving up on the playful.
