As soon as they bought two lots of land (with a total area of 900 m²) within a closed condominium in Teresina (PI), the couple of entrepreneurs with two teenage children commissioned architect
José Ribeiro, from the Dois Arquitetura office and the cast of
CASACOR Piauí, a project to build from scratch the new
house for the family.

"The clients asked for a generous outdoor leisure area with total integration among the spaces, an internal gourmet
kitchen, a complete service and support kitchen, a pool with hydromassage, a suite on the ground floor, four
suites on the upper floor, and contemporary decoration, also taking advantage of some artworks they already had," says José.

The house was built with a concrete structure and masonry closures, and the external facade was clad with porcelain slabs in a marble pattern and aluminum sheets (ACM) in a wood pattern. The facades facing the internal courtyard received floor-to-ceiling sliding doors with black aluminum frames and clear glass to ensure maximum integration of the internal living areas with the external area, composed of a garden, artificial lake with fish, pool, hydromassage, deck, barbecue, and gourmet
space.

In the decoration, the Puzzle dining table from
Jader Almeida, the Dior buffet from
Guilherme Torres, the D’Água coffee table from
Jacqueline Terpins, the TV room sofa, the paintings, and some furniture from the external area came from the old residence of the residents. Among the new pieces, timeless furniture designed by renowned Brazilian designers such as
Jader Almeida, Ricardo Fasanello, Sergio Rodrigues, and Ronald Sasson were prioritized.

The architect started from a neutral color palette - composed of white walls or covered with wood-paneled slatted panels or white Moledo stone, ceiling lined with natural wood, off-white linen curtains, and light gray porcelain tile flooring - and, to avoid a heavy visual weight, he punctuated only certain elements with color, such as the Black Tie sofa upholstered in orange fabric by
Ronald Sasson, and the Dior buffet by
Guilherme Torres, which was red and was repainted green.

"Our biggest challenge in this project was, without a doubt, to sectorize the different functions of the social area without compromising the integration of the spaces," concludes architect José Ribeiro.
