Located in the Jardins neighborhood (SP), this apartment underwent a deep renovation designed by Barbara Dundes – from the CASACOR São Paulo lineup –, whose central concept was reconnecting the property with its own essence.

The turning point of the project was the demolition of a wall right at the entrance that previously interrupted the flow and stifled the generosity of the social area. With the removal of this barrier, the living room opened up to natural light and to socializing, establishing a new dynamic between the living area and the intimate area.

To meet the wishes of the couple with young children, who sought ample social areas without giving up family privacy, the architect created a versatile TV room. The millwork closure allows the projects to be fully integrated or enclosed as needed.

The highlight of the space is the custom-designed bookshelf, which holds the owner's vast book collection, a lawyer, combining professional functionality with affective memory. The furniture was designed to allow the children to play freely while the circulation flows without interruptions.

The original wooden floor went through a sanding and color recovery process. In the décor, the design curation is the high point: the living room holds the iconic Pétala Table (a true favorite of the client), by Jorge Zalszupin, and the Klink armchairs, by Sergio Rodrigues.

Pieces with history, such as the Jaboticaba pendant lamp by Ana Neute, were brought from the previous address, reinforcing the affective character of the project. Art is also strikingly present with the work Ipê, by Fábio Baroli, which brings color and identity against the light-toned walls.
