Minimalist décor, natural light, and integration characterize a 132 m² loft

The vibrant energy of cultural effervescence, bohemian lifestyle, and nightlife of the Vila Madalena (SP) neighborhood guided the interior design project of this loft designed for a young person who loves to entertain friends. Designed by architect Daniela Funari, from the CASACOR São Paulo team, the 132 m² apartment blends coziness and lightness in a production, without losing its urban style. One of the starting points of the project was to promote the integration of the entire social area, without isolating any part. "The living room, dining room, and balcony communicate with each other, creating a fluid apartment," explains the professional who completed this vision through the arrangement of furniture that, through the project's layout, favored circulation between the projects. The stylish and energetic living room stands out for the application of colors: in the living room, there is a combination of blue present in the generous suede modular sofa, the wood that predominates the floor, and the tone of the burnt cement seen in the double-height ceiling. Next to the living area, the natural stone wall is the spot where the TV and the traditional fireplace – fueled by wood combustion – are located, and its interior borders are coated with brushed São Gabriel granite. "This option is interesting because it not only withstands heat, but its finish attracts attention and is easy to maintain," says the architect. "It is a space that combines three great features: it is practical, efficient, and ready to receive!" says the architect about the living area. Utilizing the abundant natural light that enters through the glass doors of the balcony, all materials and colors defined by Daniela were chosen to enhance the project. "Furthermore, since the lighting also contributes to the feeling of spaciousness, the living area became even cozier and more welcoming, benefiting from the greenery of the external landscape," she explains. With the double-height ceiling of the apartment in the loft style, the project includes the mezzanine where the resident’s bedroom is installed. For access to the second floor, the professional made sure to make the stairs an element that does not go unnoticed: composed of two flights and a landing, it ensured the continuity of the wooden floor by incorporating the material for the steps of the metallic structure. With a more masculine touch, the bedroom predominates the idea of a more neutral and functional decor. Minimalist, instead of a TV, the resident preferred the combination of an armchair and floor lamp. The exuberance of the bathroom deserved the installation of glass that allows its transparency for viewing from the bedroom, starting with the wall coated with black pebbles that make both the shower and the soaking tub even more relaxing and contemplative. The black granite Via Láctea, which formed the countertop with the two sculpted sinks, also lined the niches embedded in the walls.
