More than the heart of the home, the kitchen of this residence in Jardim Botânico, Rio de Janeiro, needed to be a perfect setting. Home of the nutritionist Helena Villela (Leka, creator of @projetoemagrecida alongside chef Carol Antunes), the space received meticulous attention from architect Mauricio Nóbrega, a professional from the CASACOR Rio de Janeiro cast.

To harmonize family routines with the culinary recordings for social media, the professional went for a two-tone cabinetry in blue and wood, combined with a central island featuring a white countertop and smart organization solutions.

The transformation, however, went far beyond the gourmet projects. The renovation project unified the kitchen with the TV room through a continuous layout of hexagonal ceramic flooring in gray tones. By eliminating the old barriers and incorporating a structural metal beam, the social area was fully connected to the backyard, which now features a lane-shaped pool and a completely fluid circulation design.

On the upper floor, the original layout of five bedrooms was completely reconfigured to make way for three spacious suites and an intimate lounge.

The daughters' area received a playful touch, with one room for sleeping, another for playing — equipped with a fun hammock on the ceiling — and a small private garden.

With a new external staircase that connects the second floor directly to the backyard, the level gained the independence of an apartment.
