How can childhood memories of the countryside be translated into a contemporary, fluid, and sophisticated architectural language? That was the starting point for Deborah Roig – from the CASACOR São Paulo lineup – when designing this imposing 2,000 sqm residence, located in the exclusive Fazenda Boa Vista condominium, in Porto Feliz (SP).

Designed to be the gathering place for a large family — comprising parents, children, and grandchildren —, the country house was born from the desire to celebrate the owners' rural origins, while creating the perfect setting for future generations to build their own memories.

The connection with the past is revealed right on the facade, inspired by the old headquarters of Brazilian farms. The welcoming volumetry relies on the strength of exposed bricks and the charm of colonial roofs, establishing a harmonious dialogue with the green surroundings.

"They grew up on a farm and had a very strong emotional bond with that experience. When I showed them the concept of the facade, there was an immediate identification. They were moved because they saw exactly what they had imagined to bring the family together," recalls Deborah Roig.

To accommodate everyone with maximum comfort, the program was intelligently zoned. The private area shelters eight suites, while the social wing prioritizes togetherness, integrating living, dining, TV rooms, and a generous gourmet kitchen.

Inside, the chic rusticity of natural materials coexists harmoniously with a current aesthetic, where classic references meet pieces sourced from antique shops and Brazilian signature design.

The construction process, which lasted three years, ended up becoming a journey of cultural immersion for the residents. Throughout the works, the couple deepened their interest in art, giving rise to an expressive private collection that today punctuates the projects. Among the highlights are works and photographs by renowned names, such as Vik Muniz and Christian Cravo.

"The project was built on balanced contrasts. There are elements that refer to tradition and others that are clearly contemporary. This combination appears in the architecture, in the furniture and even in the choice of decorative objects", explains the professional.

Following the premise of a relaxed and integrated lifestyle, the boundaries between inside and outside are diluted through large openings and glazed apertures. The immense veranda acts as the backbone of leisure, directly connecting the social projects to the garden and the pool.

The landscaping, signed by Gilberto Elkis, frames the entire outdoor area with an exquisite selection of tropical species, reinforcing the sense of symbiosis with nature and inviting the residents to enjoy the countryside climate with total privacy.
