Located in a gated community in Teresina, Piauí, this house of 650 m² was designed from scratch by the office of architect Vangii Guerra – from the cast of CASACOR Piauí – for a couple in their 50s with two adult children. The 900 m² plot was acquired during the pandemic when the clients – longtime acquaintances of the office – decided to leave the apartment where they lived in search of more space and quality of life.

"The idea was to create a spacious, contemporary house with plenty of integration on the ground floor and a generous view of the pool area," says the architect. The residence has two floors: on the ground floor, there are integrated living and dining rooms, kitchen, gourmet area, service area, guest suite, toilet, and office. On the upper floor, there are three suites with closets.

The project prioritizes the abundance of natural light, cross ventilation, and a sense of spaciousness. All the projects were designed with fluidity, and the decoration follows a contemporary style, featuring Brazilian design pieces.

Except for a family piece of furniture and a curved blue sofa that stands out in the living room, all the furnishings were specially acquired for the new home. Highlights include the Durazno dining table, designed by Maicon Maccagnan, the Desire island sofa by Luiza Moysés, the Bumbo armchair by Lilly Sarti, the Cylinders bench by Murilo Weitz, and the Noronha queen size bed, designed by Faska Rivkind.

The neutral color palette meets the residents' desire for a welcoming, timeless, and elegant project. The gray porcelain floor is complemented by cabinetry in oak and ebony, curtains in white linen gauze, and upholstery in tones ranging from off-white to caramel. The slatted and smooth panels dialogue with the texture of the natural Moledo stone used on the highest wall of the living room, while the countertop of the gourmet area draws attention due to the use of Verde Esperanza quartzite. It was a careful process, done in stages, to ensure that each detail reflected the style and needs of the family", states Vangii Guerra.
