Marcenaria sob medida, circulação fluída e iluminação funcional atendem à dinâmica familiar neste projeto de Romário Rodrigues (CASACOR/CASACOR)
The house of 4,951 sq ft, in Fortaleza (CE), was designed for a large family. The couple of lawyers has four daughters: two children, a baby, and a newborn. In addition to the four suites that ensure comfort for everyone, the project by the firm Romário Rodrigues Arquitetos – part of the CASACOR São Paulo lineup – provides spacious and welcoming spaces, designed to accommodate family dynamics without compromising refined aesthetics.
The most significant structural intervention occurred on the ground floor, where the living room was integrated with the bar and the dining room, keeping an independent kitchen. “Another important point was to adapt the house to the routine of four small daughters without losing elegance. The solution was to rely on a neutral palette, a fluid layout, and timeless, durable, and functional design furniture,” says Romário.
The project follows a sophisticated contemporary line, where organic forms meet iconic furniture and noble materials. The neutral base, in shades of beige, white, and gray, brings lightness and timelessness, while touches of color appear at specific points in the furniture and objects, such as the ruby-colored armchair in the living area.
The room for the older daughters is also located on the ground floor and features two single beds and playful cabinetry, which include storage space, a desk, and a TV panel.
On the upper level, there are the suites for the baby and the newborn, which feature functional cabinetry in pastel tones, with slats, niches, shelves, and organizing boxes.
The main suite was integrated with the office, separated by a sliding door. The circulation in the intimate area received direct lighting through LED profiles embedded in the ceiling, combined with diffused light from markers that outline the path. “This solution not only ensures a more welcoming project but also caters to the daily life of small daughters, allowing nighttime movements without excessive brightness and reinforcing the differentiation between the rest, work, and living projects,” explains the architect.
