The project emerged shortly after the 2020 lockdown, when a couple of lawyers, in their forties, with two children, decided to have a home outside the city. They found the office through internet research and requested a spacious, functional house integrated with the landscape, featuring a comfortable gourmet area, generous pool, and bright and cheerful projects, ideal for hosting friends and celebrating family moments.

On the ground floor, the integrated living room with the kitchen opens to a spacious balcony and gourmet area, which includes a heated pool with a wet deck, a spa and infinity edge, as well as a barbecue, pizza oven, and fridge. Also on this floor are three suites, internal and external lavatories, service area, service room, and external storage. On the upper floor, two suites and a pantry complete the space. "We positioned the social and leisure projects on the ground floor and the two suites on the upper floor facing the lake, while the children's rooms face the main facade," explains architect Amanda Miranda.

The project follows the rustic-chic concept, with the presence of natural elements from the exterior to the interior. The decoration prioritizes sunny colors, natural textures, and functional pieces, ensuring practicality for the family's day-to-day. Outdoors, the glass pergola with bamboo lining provides shade and freshness, complementing the relaxed atmosphere of the leisure area.

The floors were paved with gray porcelain tiles measuring 90x90 cm, while the woodwork received a natural freijó finish. In the kitchen integrated with the living room, the geometric ceramics in white and earthy tones serve as decorative elements, while the cabinets with natural straw doors ensure ventilation and the ultra-compact white stone countertop connects the indoor space to the external gourmet area.

In the decoration, some pieces from the clients' collection, such as armchairs and sofas, were reused in the living room. The new furniture in the common projects was chosen for its functionality and durability, able to withstand frequent use, including when people sit down wet, ensuring less need for maintenance. The white brick wall behind the TV repeats the cladding used in the entrance hall, while rugs and cushions add liveliness to the project. The couple's bedroom is clean and relaxing, with a discreet palette, natural textures, and handcrafted details in straw and wood, reminiscent of the beach landscape.

The project took a year and a half between preparation, approval, and execution, including the completion of the decoration. "The biggest challenge was reconciling the local legislation norms with the clients' wishes. In Búzios, to obtain project approval, it is necessary to meet a series of specific rules, and aligning these requirements with the family's expectations was undoubtedly the main challenge," concludes Amanda Miranda.
