Located in the traditional Jardins neighborhood, in São Paulo, this apartment of 180 sqm gained a new dynamic of use after the interior renovation signed by architects Adriana Valle and Patricia Carvalho, from the office @migsarquitetura, from the CASACOR São Paulo and CASACOR Rio de Janeiro lineup. The property was acquired by a couple in their 50s and their 10-year-old son, who were looking for a more spacious, well-located home focused on well-being and family togetherness.

Without altering the original floor plan, the architects focused the project on requalifying the spaces: the social area was transformed into a continuous project that connects the living, TV, and dining rooms. The transition to the kitchen gained flexibility thanks to intelligent millwork solutions that allow the projects to be isolated or integrated as needed. Executed mostly in peroba-do-campo wood, the signature millwork designed by the office organizes the flows, combining technical rigor, functionality, and timeless aesthetics.

In the social area, two millwork solutions stand out. The traditional "big bench" under the window — a recurring element in the office's repertoire — expands the seating capacity and reinforces the space's vocation for receiving guests.

At the same time, a sliding panel conceals the television when not in use, keeping the visual clean. In the dining room, a multifunctional cabinet concentrates a china cabinet, wine cellar, and a natural stone niche dedicated to the bar.

The color palette met a specific request from the residents for more sobriety. The neutral base combines grayish porcelain tile, white walls, and the warmth of wood. The main challenge for the office was precisely balancing this chromatic restraint with the office's identity, usually recognized for its vibrant mix of patterns and textures. The result was a softer and more sophisticated translation of this DNA.

The furniture curation blended pieces the family already owned with new elements of Brazilian design. Icons such as the armchairs by Zanine Caldas and the Chanceler coffee table, by Jorge Zalszupin, add elegance and reinforce the welcoming atmosphere of the living area.

In the private wing, the TV room is integrated with the home office through custom-made cabinetry that runs along the walls, offering storage and visual lightness. The entire project was carried out within the strict deadline of ten months, respecting the moving date stipulated by the family.
