Signed by Marcela Penteado, from the cast of CASACOR São Paulo, this apartment is part of a sensitive reading of the idea of globalization not as a mere accumulation of references, but as a daily practice, in which constructive gestures, material choices, and ways of living intersect. The design is built from connections between cultures, spaces, and textures, creating a narrative that balances tradition and contemporaneity. Handcrafted pieces engage in dialogue with precise interventions, while the fluidity of the projects guides the journey and use of the spaces.

The materiality and earthy tones guide the narrative of the project. The walnut panels envelop the projects with texture and warmth, while the Travertine marble floor sets an atemporal sobriety base. In the center of the living room, the brown sofa in an island configuration organizes the integration between the spaces. One of its faces turns towards the home, the other towards the living area, dissolving the idea of compartments and creating a continuous, organic, and welcoming flow.

The furniture takes center stage and reveals an affectionate curation. Icons of Brazilian design, such as the Beg armchairs, by Sérgio Rodrigues, coexist with the modernist lightness of the Cité armchair, by Jean Prouvé. Brazilian identity is affirmed in the Tijuco vase-sculptures, by Domingos Tótora, handcrafted from recycled kraft paper and powdered graphite in his workshop in Maria da Fé, in the Serra da Mantiqueira, and in the zinc sculpture on blue wood, by Marcos Coelho Benjamin, which points the space with color and artistic expression.

The original floor plan underwent significant transformations. The balcony was incorporated into the living room, expanding the social area, and one of the suites had part of the bedroom integrated into the living area. The existing bathroom was transformed into an extension of the master suite, which now also houses the closet. In the kitchen, the reconfiguration brought greater functionality. Access to the laundry room now occurs through the dish cabinet, optimizing the cabinetry and freeing up space for a quick meals counter.

At the end of the renovation, the apartment now features two suites and a powder room, with one of the suites currently used as an office. The client's official residence reveals a way of living that values time, use, and permanence. A space where aesthetics arise from comfort and presence, and where memory and contemporaneity coexist in harmony.
