Apartamento minimalista de 120 m² tira proveito de layout flexível (Maura Mello/CASACOR)
The interior renovation of this 120 m² apartment in Pinheiros (SP) was developed for a young couple by the office Sala2 Arquitetura – from the cast of CASACOR São Paulo – with the goal of creating a contemporary, timeless, and tranquil minimalist space. As the property was new, recently delivered by the construction company, the intervention was focused on the electrical and plumbing installations, concentrating on reconfiguring the layout and design.

The key concept of the project was the integration of the social area, essential to maximize the perception of space. To achieve this, the terrace was incorporated into the projects, significantly expanding the living and dining area. The original layout of three bedrooms was changed, with the conversion of one room into a home theater. This decision freed the main room to be completely dedicated to social interaction, without the function of a TV.

Addressing the couple's demand for flexibility, the integration between the living, the kitchen and the TV room was mediated by efficient sliding doors. This solution allows the projects to be fully connected for social events or closed for greater privacy and isolation.

The choice of materials followed the desire for a bright apartment. The foundation of the project is marked by neutral surfaces, such as the large fluted off-white lacquer panels in the living area, which provide texture and movement. In contrast, the foundation of the apartment was warmed by the use of wood: demolition peroba flooring in the social areas and natural oak cabinetry.

In the kitchen, distinct materials were employed, such as the neolith countertops and the green hydraulic tile flooring. The master suite maintained the palette of light textures, utilizing fluted panels and neutral upholstery.
