This project signed by architect
Ana Weege – from the cast of
CASACOR São Paulo – transformed a duplex
penthouse of approximately
330 m² in Vila Mariana (SP) into a
completely accessible and functional home. The work was meticulously planned to meet the needs of a
tenant with a wheelchair, prioritizing autonomy and comfort.

To ensure total mobility autonomy for the client,
a lifting platform was installed to connect the two floors of the penthouse. Additionally, the renovation included the
opening of doorways to facilitate passage, the complete adaptation of the
master bathroom with changes to the toilet's position, the creation of a deck area for pool access, and the
adoption of rounded corners in the cabinetry modules of the
kitchen to optimize access.

Aiming for maximum fluidity,
no fabric curtains were used on the ground floor, nor rugs, eliminating any unevenness that could hinder circulation. The layout of the freestanding furniture was designed to be fluid, without coffee tables or excess items, ensuring an obstacle-free space.

The
balconies received granite slabs, creating a harmonious composition with the
Emerald Green granite, which was used in the lavabo, TV rack, and staircase, promoting visual continuity.
The entire ground floor was covered with a cementitious mass that eliminates the need for joints, providing greater visual amplitude and facilitating circulation. (Denilson Machado, do MCA Estúdio/Divulgação)
The cabinetry was executed in natural walnut wood veneer, adding warmth and elegance to the projects. For the coverings, Vermont limestone, concrete slats, and sucupira wood panels were used. [gallery-abril id="204627" type="slider" showtitle="undefined" data-restrict="false"]
