SP-Arte Rotas 2025 brings together 65 projects in São Paulo
Between August 27 and 31, at ARCA in São Paulo, the event brings together 65 exhibitors from 12 Brazilian states, as well as galleries from Argentina and the Peruvian Amazon. The novelty this time is that, after three editions as Rotas Brasileiras, the fair will be known simply as SP-Arte Rotas – a change that reflects a movement to widen the gaze beyond the national territory, without losing sight of the ties to Brazilian artistic production.

The programming features productions that traverse eroticism, territory, and projects, with works in painting, sculpture, ceramics, and textiles. Among the participants are established names such as Luisa Strina, Almeida & Dale, Mendes Wood DM, and Vermelho, as well as newcomers like Isla Flotante (Argentina) and Xapiri Ground (Peru).

Dialogues with the Biennial

The fair takes place on the eve of the 36th São Paulo Biennial and shares artists present at both events, such as Heitor dos Prazeres, Maxwell Alexandre, Lidia Lisbôa, and Rebeca Carapiá. According to Fernanda Feitosa, the idealizer of SP-Arte, “SP-Arte Rotas is an invitation to explore new paths. A space to discover productions outside the Rio-SP axis, reunite established names from new perspectives, and follow emerging movements.”

Featured projects

Galleries present selections that cross tradition and experimentation. Almeida & Dale presents works by Tunga, Paulo Pasta, and Maxwell Alexandre; Luisa Strina dedicates a solo show to Marepe; Galatea highlights the artist Tito Terapia, coming from graffiti to the visual arts. Flexa proposes a perspective on eroticism with names like Adriana Varejão and Leonilson.
