The most relevant art and design fair in Latin America,
SP–Arte celebrates the growth of the
art and
design market in its special 20th anniversary edition. From
April 3rd to 7th, 2024 , the Biennial Pavilion will bring together more than
180 exhibitors , including art galleries, design studios, publishers and cultural institutions. "We are very excited to celebrate this important milestone with our
20th edition of SP–Arte ", says
Fernanda Feitosa , creator of the event. "Over the last 20 years, we have witnessed incredible
growth and transformation in the artistic scene across Brazil , and we are proud to have played a fundamental role in this process. This edition promises to be a truly extraordinary
celebration of art, culture and creativity ", he adds .

Art: 1st and 2nd floors
On the
first and
second floors of the pavilion, there will be a concentration of modern
and contemporary art galleries , cultural institutions, autonomous spaces, in addition to the Iguatemi Arena – which will host the SP–Arte Talks. Among the national ones, highlights include exhibitors such as
Fortes D'Aloia & Gabriel , which will present two stands, one of which is solo by the artist Yuli Yamagata. The project of
Luisa Strina will highlight works by Marepe and also by Anna Maria Maiolino – honored with the Golden Lion at this year's Venice Biennale. The curatorship of the
Almeida & Dale includes Tarsila do Amaral, Sérgio Camargo and Lygia Clark – currently on display at Pinacoteca. Present since the
first edition of SP–Arte, the
Raquel Arnaud which celebrates 50 years in 2024, brings to the pavilion works by names such as Iole de Freitas, Jesús Rafael Soto, Sergio Camargo, Tunga and Waltercio Caldas. Already
Nara Roesler highlights works by Tomie Ohtake, artist present at this year's Venice Biennale. THE
Gomide&Co presents a special project of
ukiyo-e , oriental woodcuts produced using matrices in which more or less rare pigments were processed, transferred to the surface of the paper through different manual rubbing processes. THE
Lima Galeria , from São Luís (MA), brings artists Thiago Martins de Melo, Silvana Mendes, Gê Viana, Tassila Custodes, Carchiris and Zimar to the pavilion.

THE
Cerrado highlights works by Siron Franco, Amilcar de Castro, Manuela Costa Silva, Estevão Parreiras, Raylton Parga, Adriana Vignoli, Talles Lopes, José Bento and Dalton Paula – an artist who was also selected for this year's Venice Biennale.
Marcelo Guarnieri brings to the pavilion a solo project by José Resende, one of the most important artists in Brazilian sculpture. Diambe and Flávio Cerqueira, with representation recently announced by
Simões de Assis , present bronze sculptures developed especially for the occasion. The gallery also emphasizes works by artists participating in the event for the first time and by Ione Saldanha and Cícero Dias, artists whose collections are represented by the gallery and will also be on display at this year's Venice Biennale. MAHKU collective , present at the
Carmo Johnson Projects , is also part of the 2024 Venice Biennale with an unprecedented and monumental mural painting on the facade of the Biennale's Central Pavilion. Now the gallery
Surface takes the work of Celeida Tostes, an artist who dedicated her life to the dialogue between art and education, expanding thinking in the field of sculpture. Among the international highlights of the 20th edition are the

In 2024, the fair celebrates the sector's
growth of more than 50% compared to the previous edition, now bringing together
67 exhibitors in total. In the sector, the public will be able to see works by big names in Brazilian furniture, such as
ETEL, ,ovo, Rodrigo Silveira, Apartment 61, Jacqueline Terpins, Marcelo Rosenbaum and Alex Rocca. Cultural institutions, autonomous spaces and publishers
Cultural institutions, such as
MAM, MASP, Inhotim Institute and IAC participate in
SP–Arte with their respective
art and design object stores. Publishers also participate in the fair, including:
Cobogo, BEĨ, Taschen and Ubu . Highlight for the
Desapê , which exclusively presents a series of 20 new woodcuts by
Edgar Calel , an indigenous Guatemalan artist who was part of the 35th Bienal de São Paulo and was mentioned in the 2022 and 2023 editions in the Power 100 selection of ArtReview, one of the most important art magazines international contemporary. The curatorship also has autonomous spaces such as:
Solar dos Abacaxis, Casa do Povo and Pivô .

The fair's chat program seeks
to bring the public closer to the production of important Brazilian artists. In this edition, participants from different generations and at different career stages talk to art curators about the
main aspects of their work – from the poetics that permeate their artistic research to the daily life of a studio.
