Tiradentes Creative Week is now in its 7th edition, with the aim of bringing together artists and paying tribute to handmade design. This year's event will take place between
October 19 and 22 in the city in Minas Gerais that gives the event its name. There will be more than
80 activities , including lectures, chats, exhibitions, workshops, installations, screenings, cinema sessions, guided tours and tours that are expected to attract
more than six thousand people from all over Brazil.
This year, the event features a new feature: the acquisition of the
BMW Sustainability Seal , meeting criteria known worldwide as
ESG , which means less environmental impact. Among the highlights is the
Handmade Design exhibition, the reason for the existence of Tiradentes Creative Week, which brings together a series of works by artisans. Another expected panel will present the legacy of the architect from Pernambuco,
Janete Costa (1932-2008), who will be present in two moments in this edition: in an
exhibition and in a chat .
This edition also marks the first collab of Tiradentes Creative Week with EcoSimple, a manufacturer of sustainable fabrics EcoSimple , which resulted in the Tiradentes Collection, and was co-created by the duo Karol Suguikawa and Luly Vianna. The Tiradentes Collection features two
jacquard prints that interpret the country lifestyle and are inspired by the colonial architecture and nature of Tiradentes.
For this edition, the event will pay tribute to
Matizes Dumont , from the Dumont brothers, a family of artists and embroiderers born in Pirapora, MG, a city on the banks of the São Francisco River. The event will take place at Rua do Chafariz, 11 – Historic Center. Tiradentes/MG. To find out more, check out the full schedule on the
