The Gardens of Light designed by Júnia Carsalade enchant visitors to CASA COR Minas Gerais 2016. The light designer created poetry in her two spaces by transforming the lighting project into a work of art. The installations interact with the exhibition and with nature, proving that lighting can do much more than just brighten up
The first space, Lagoa Light Garden , was inspired by cosmic shapes and astral elements and conceived with the work of designer Volmar Silva. The installation is composed of white polyethylene balls with UV treatment and aluminum, suitable for outdoor areas, lit internally by LED lamps arranged on a lawn facing Pampulha Lagoon. The shadows and designs created by the rays of light show how an environment can be influenced by lighting.
The second project, Jardim de Luz 2 , was installed near Casa Pré Fab and is also made up of 180 small balls, also white and milky, illuminated by mini LEDs. The spheres were placed on the ends of rebars with heights ranging from 20 cm to 3 m. The installation stimulates the imagination of visitors who try to understand the spectacle of sculptures that appear to be floating.
