January is the month of vacations and the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center in Rio de Janeiro has prepared a special program. Located at 66 Rua Primeiro de Março , in the center of Rio de Janeiro, the neoclassical building that, in past, was linked to finance, business and the history of Banco do Brasil itself, it houses two exhibitions to enjoy with the whole family: OSGEMEOS and Walter Firmo.

This is the second time that the CCBB has hosted OSGEMEOS: the first time was 12 years ago, with Vertigem , the duo's debut solo exhibition in Rio de Janeiro. The exhibition reveals the artistic process of OSGEMEOS – a duo formed by brothers Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo –, their personal objects , notebooks, photos, drawings and paintings that date from their childhood to the present day, including studies and works of art that precede their famous characters. and shed light on the roots of its emergence.

With around 266 photographs , the exhibition by renowned Rio de Janeiro artist Walter Firmo traces a panorama of his more than 70-year career. Produced from the beginning of the photographer's career, in the 1950s , until 2021, the images portray the population and culture black people from different regions of the country, revealing rites, popular and religious festivals, characters and everyday scenes. Firmo is responsible for iconic recordings of great names in Brazilian popular music , also found in one of the segments of the exhibition. The exhibition is curated by Sergio Burgi and Janaína Damaceno.
