In May, AkzoNobel , in partnership with the Tomie Ohtake Institute , delivered the restoration of the Workers' Monument , a work by Tomie Ohtake located in the city's City Hall, to the municipality of Santo André, in the ABC region of São Paulo. With this, the piece of art gains the color and vivacity of its original state, just as it was conceived by the artist. Inaugurated in 2013, the sculpture is made of carbon steel, weighs about 15 tons, is 6 m wide and 12 m high.

In this initiative, AkzoNobel and the Tomie Ohtake Institute are reinforcing their partnership by renovating public works by artist Tomie Ohtake in four cities in São Paulo. Following the restored sculpture on Avenida 23 de Maio in São Paulo in January, this is the second revitalized work delivered by the initiative, which also aims to restore works located in Santos and Guarulhos.
