The urban installation explores the color spectrum proposed by Isaac Newton in the 17th century , when the scientist forever revolutionized Physics by discovering that white light is, in fact, composed of a range of colors – contrary to the belief of the time, when White light was thought to be pure, colorless and indivisible.
To realize the work, the artist proposes to transform every screen and billboard in Times Square into a single colorful monochrome display . The shadows would change throughout the day to show every possible shade of light . With the installation, Scotucci aims to provoke thought while celebrating color and the unique facets that make us human .
