In addition to the great writer, translator and professor Milton Hatoum , other important names were invited to this first series of live sessions with writers promoted by the Museum. Renowned names such as Betty Milan and José Roberto Walker, along with new talents such as Fabiana Vanz, are part of the program. The program entitled Meeting with Writers: Other Perspectives will be held via the Zoom Meeting platform. Each meeting, which will last an average of 1 hour, will also be available for viewing at any time on all of the museum's social media channels. Live, the public will be able to with the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the writers. The total capacity of the room will be only 95 places and those interested must register in advance on the museum's website . Registration for the first live session will open from July 20th. During the conversations, the audience will have an overview of the writing process, the relationships with the social and political reality of Brazil, the favorite themes and the works of these great masters of literature. According to the mediator Ana Beatriz Demarchi Barel: “We invite three writers whose works bring to the center of discussion themes or characters that are not very privileged in literature. The publications also have a strong impact among readers and I believe this is partly due to the fact that the writers accept the challenge of dealing with difficult issues , who run on the fringes of society; for being fearless and discussing established ideas, questioning them”, explains the mediator who has a PhD in Literature from Université Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle and a post-doctorate in History from Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa, at IEB-USP. The event will also showcase new talents, such as the young writer Fabiana Vanz Dias, who launched her first book “Sobre a coragem do medo e outras loucas sane” (About the courage of fear and other healthy madness), published by Patuá. According to the course coordinator at Casa-Museu Ema Klabin, Cristina Moutela, the meetings follow the theme of Casa-Museu Ema Klabin in 2020 “Other Narratives”. “In these meetings with writers we intend to bring pieces of Brazil, recorded by other perspectives, other narratives”.
