The connection between art, architecture and decoration is a highlight of this edition of CASACOR Minas Gerais. A series of projects presented at the Minas Gerais exhibition break with the traditions of white walls and offer an immersive experience in the world of art. This strategy aims to bring visitors closer to important names in art produced in Minas Gerais and Brazil and strengthen the public's ties with artists and designers from the national scene. The artistic proposal of the exhibition is visible right at the beginning of the tour: a large intervention in the form of a poster makes up the Ticket Office 356 , designed by architect Isabela Vecci. The art, which extends across the counter and also across the walls, was created by artist and graphic designer Preto Mateus .

Living Fragments, by Janaina Araújo, is another space in the exhibition entirely dedicated to the appreciation of art . Curated in conjunction with Galeria Hogar , the space presents a selection of pieces that combine different techniques, such as painting, sculpture, lithography and constructions from fabric scraps and sewing, signed by the artists: Will, Douglas Carlos da Silva, Natan Dias, Marco Túlio Resende, Renato Morcatti and Marco Vinhal.

There are also interventions created especially for this edition of CASACOR Minas Gerais. Architects Mariana Borges and Thaysa Godoy, creators of the Memorable Hotel Suite, invited artist Aline Bergson to develop an exclusive work for the space, and the result was the Sunshine artwork. "We wanted a sunset and she created the Sunshine artwork, with fire agate, citrine and clear quartz. The result surprised us. It transmits a contagious energy", explains Thaysa Godoy.

The Avosidade Space, by Alex Rousset and Ana Vaz, is in itself a major artistic intervention. It all begins with Ana Vaz 's textile installation , which covers the entire space. By rescuing the shapes of a uterus, the artist realized her idea of evoking an atmosphere of rebirth .

Other provocations appear in the space and complement the scene, such as the audiovisual installation by Marcelo Belém , the work Festejar as estrelas by Gustavo Brito and the collection of vases developed by the team at O Ateliê de Cerâmica .

In Cozinha Ítalo-Mineira, art is also full of personality and references. Architect Rafaela Bruna invited Luma Lage , artist and former participant of MasterChef Brasil, to develop a tile panel . The work was entirely hand-drawn, with themes that allude to the gastronomic cultures of Minas Gerais and Italy .

Life Projects - Restaurante O Chef e O Cabra. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2024.

Life Projects - Restaurante O Chef e O Cabra.

Starting next week, the space will be occupied by artist Raquel Saliba , a sculptor who presents techniques that evoke cave features; other guests will then present their own works.
