The gardens of the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center in Brasília will be transformed into a true open-air museum starting Saturday, May 7. The installation-work strictly follows the instructions left by the artist during his lifetime and promises to be an experience to be lived alongside nature and urbanity , transforming the spectator into a co-creator. Like a large 200 m² labyrinth built outdoors, painted with colors strong and using materials such as concrete, granite, glass and masonry, Magic Square defies labels and conventions.

Synonymous with invention, Hélio Oiticica was an artist who broke the limits of the painting, transposing the canvas to the environmental space and proposing the integration of the spectator as an active participant in the work of art . For him, art gains meaning in its relationship with the human being. human and must be lived, experienced, enjoyed. His Magic Squares began to be developed between 1977 and 1979, personifying this proposal for public interaction by allowing the spectator to move through the labyrinth, enabling diverse sensory experiences as they walk through the enormous spaces.
