"Embroidery is very widespread in Brazil. Lace is found in more specific places , such as the Irish lace from Divina Pastora, in Sergipe, the filé and the labyrinth lace in Ceará, and the bobbin lace from Morros de Mariana, in Piauí", he says. Renata Mellão, founder of the museum. "All of them, however, reveal to the public the riches of a thriving Brazil, the Brazil we love."

In addition to traditional techniques, there are contemporary works, such as those signed by designers in partnership with artisan associations. “There are five dresses that came from the exhibition 'Renda-se' (2015), curated by Dudu Bertolini,” says Renata. Lino Villaventura , Adriana Barra, Amapô, André Lima and Bertolini himself created the models that will be on display.
