The
Magister Raffaello exhibition begins today (11) and runs until February 27, 2022 at the Grande Galeria Alberto da Veiga Guignard, at the Palácio das Artes, in Belo Horizonte. Promoted by the Consulate General of Italy in Belo Horizonte, the Clóvis Salgado Foundation and by Magister Art, the exhibition celebrates the
500th anniversary of the death of Raffaello Sanzio , considered one of the greatest artists of the Italian Renaissance. Through
technological resources and multimedia content , the exhibition takes the visitor on an
unprecedented virtual journey through the Italian Renaissance and the life and the painter's work . “Magister Raffaello” is curated by
Claudio Strinati , art historian and specialist in Renaissance painting and sculpture, and
Federico Strinati , manager of promotion and cultural heritage.
According to Consul
Dario Savarese , the exhibition is part of the vast program of the Consulate in Minas Gerais to
value Italian culture and art . “The exhibition highlights the concept of beauty and elegance linked to the Renaissance artist's career. It is a
digital immersion not only in the cultural heritage of our country, but also in the Italian territories: it is
an invitation to think about new tourist itineraries in Italy ”, said Savarese.
To portray the career of the Renaissance master, the exhibition is divided into
six thematic areas with large screens on which multimedia content narrates Raffaello's works. The visitor is taken on a journey based on a
chronology that follows the artist's human and professional growth. to discover the cities where he lived and the works he created.

The exhibition also offers a specially created
app with information, texts, videos and audios about Raffaello, in Portuguese, Italian and English. Visitors can download it on their cell phones or use the audio guide that will be made available by the Palácio das Artes. In addition, a Educational Program with group scheduling for guided visits.
