Two sculptures by Amilcar de Castro are featured in the Minas Gerais exhibition. One of them is in the Lounge + Pool, designed by Situar Projetos, and the other is located right in the Ticket Office, designed by Alexandre Rousset and Ana Vaz. The latter consists of a suspended web filled with charcoal, an allusion to the mansion's past, which was once the headquarters of the National Railway Network.

The Artist's Studio, by Matheus Goulart, is a space dedicated entirely to the exaltation of contemporary art works, some of which were signed by Matheus himself. The decor is a mix of a laid-back urban style and touches of color and drama from expressionism.

The term Art (with a capital “A”) encompasses a true universe of possibilities for expression. Whether paintings, sculptures or even buildings, the arts make up a fundamental part of the environments at CASACOR Minas Gerais 2018 , as Each piece was carefully chosen to convey a message. Loaned by the Celma Albuquerque, Dotart Galeria de Arte and Galeria Murilo Castro galleries, the contemporary art works are the protagonists in environments such as the Ateliê do Artista , by Matheus Goulart, or complement the atmosphere of spaces such as the Sala e Varanda do Pôr do Sol .

Far beyond the aesthetic issue, without neglecting it, however, the works that are in the Minas Gerais exhibition are manifestations ofA Casa Viva , bringing the life and energy of human creativity to spaces. Check out the gallery above!
