Curated by Marcelo Rosenbaum and Fernando Serapião, the exhibition brings together 13 architectural projects developed in partnership with indigenous peoples, riverside communities, and quilombola settlements in the Amazon, as well as initiatives from Ecuador, Bolivia, and Peru. The set of works proposes new ways to inhabit and think about the territory, bridging traditional knowledge and contemporary practices of Latin American architecture.
“Habitar a Floresta” presents an overview of tropical architecture and the role of listening as an essential part of the design process. In each work, the public is invited to discover architectural solutions that strengthen the permanence of communities in their territories and encourage a sustainable way of life, integrated with nature.

Through models, photographs, and drawings, the exhibit proposes a dialogue between ancestral knowledge and innovation, highlighting that architecture can be a tool for reconnection between human beings and projects. Additionally, it reinforces the role of collaborative practices in the creation of spaces that express identity and belonging.

The exhibition also features four videos about the relationship between architecture, culture, and projects: Terra Preta (SescTV Acervo Sesc São Paulo), Aldeia Sagrada Yawanawa (Mira Filmes), Construindo na Floresta (Acervo Rosenbaum), and Carpinteiros da Amazônia (Acervo Guá Arquitetura).
With a sustainable and modular expographic project , Marcelo Rosenbaum developed a light and autonomous structure, easy to assemble and adaptable to different spaces. Each module, measuring 2.15 m x 2.15 m, consists of 4.5 cm x 4.5 cm pine pillars, forming a replicable system that reflects the idea of a living and itinerant exhibition.
