As the festival’s full name suggests, art goes hand in hand with music at the iconic Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. That’s why each year a series of large-scale art installations are unveiled, created by designers, architects and artists of various nationalities.
We have selected the 5 main and gigantic installations present at Coachella 2024 that, in this edition, strived to reconcile the energy of colors with architectural trends from chronologically distinct times . Check them out below!
Pieces with bold, vibrant, and eye-catching colors are nothing new at Coachella. In fact, this artistic style has already established itself as a festival classic . Myerscough 's installation is the one that is representing this bold visual identity at the 2024 edition, with the work Dancing in the Sky.

This is the installation most likely to be the highlight of Coachella 2024: its super colorful aesthetic, combined with kinetic elements of the windmill that blows gusts, has created a fun and high- energy atmosphere. Myerscough calls the venue “a magical gathering place at the festival”!

Created through a collaboration between Cornell University professors Leslie Lok and Sasa Zivkovic, the installation reinvented architectural design by exploring the fusion of 3D printing and traditional craftsmanship. This piece aims to merge the digital with the natural and maintain the high standard of innovation present at Coachella!

A blend of contrasts, Ancient architectural forms and futuristic design can be seen in Babylon, the work of two London architects, Brando Posocco and Madhav Kidao. This installation is the name of the game when it comes to being the monumental piece of Coachella 2024, establishing itself as a large sanctuary where festival-goers can comfortably appreciate the supernatural beauty of this art!

In this meeting of ancient temples with contemporary architecture, the interior promises to be as interesting as the gigantic structure on the outside. Within blocks and more blocks, the intention of the internal area of the monument is to provide the festival with a cinematic experience during the night.
An iconic prismatic tower in the middle of Coachella: this is Spectra ! Unlike the previous ones, this installation is not a new addition to Coachella 2024. Long-time festival-goers will have known it since 2018 and know that it has become a favorite among festival-goers.

Fun, Instagrammable, colorful, creative… In the shape of a tower, Spectra is everything that Coachella represents and, in its fifth consecutive year , continues to illustrate the festival!

At Coachella 2024, don't forget to look up ! There will be a necklace of balloons suspended in the air, the Balloon Chain , another installation that has been part of Coachella for a few years. This time, the art was cleaner . At least this weekend, Balloon Chain left the colorful installations on the ground floor and went for white balloons that match the blue of the sky and the green of the mountains. Whether white or colorful, if there aren't several balloons up high, it's not Coachella!
