Lecture series promoted by CASACOR at the Art Design Village

During DW!, CASA COR will have a Lounge at the Art Design Village, where a program of special lectures will take place with renowned professionals.

lounge-casa-cor-art-design-village-design-weekend The 1st edition of the Art Design Village, the Design Weekend HUB, will be held at the Jockey Club until August 16th and will have a space dedicated to lectures, called the CASA COR Lounge. It is located in the former Brasil de Pau a Pique space, designed by Roberto Migotto, at CASA COR São Paulo 2015 and will feature a program of discussions with various professionals from the design, architecture and decoration fields. Check out the times and dates of the events: August 12th Salão Design International Seminar - from 3pm to 6pm The international seminar “Form Follows Matter” will bring together three leading figures of contemporary design: the Italian Clino Trini Castelli, the Chilean Cristian Domínguez and the Brazilian Brunno Jahara, who will discuss the role of materials research as a starting point for the development of new design projects, capable of offering innovative and advanced solutions. August 13th Original Brazil Amazonas Project - from 3pm to 4:30pm Designer Sergio Mattos will present to the public the story of his latest collection, entitled Brasil Original and developed in Amazonas, in partnership with indigenous communities and Sebrae/AM. The lecture will be moderated by journalist Regina Galvão, editor of Casa Claudia, and will also feature the participation of Sebrae/AM coordinator Lilian Silva Simões, and artisans Gilda da Silva Barreto and Dinalva Dias Campos. Talk Design - NOS Furniture and Entreposto - at 5pm The Brazilian brand NOS Furniture, created by businesswoman Larissa Vanzo, and Entreposto, a reference in fabrics and decoration, welcome guests Bruno Jahara, Fetiche Design Studio, Guilherme Torres, Guilherme Wentz, Rodrigo Almeida and Zanini de Zanine to a roundtable discussion to discuss the reality of the design market. The discussion will be moderated by Ricardo Gaioso.
Historical Brazilian Furniture from the 17th to the 19th centuries - at 4pm Given by the antique dealer and researcher of Portuguese-Brazilian and European furniture for over 30 years, Arnaldo Danemberg, the lecture will discuss the general aspects, influences and characteristics of pieces from Brazil and also from Portugal, promoting a meeting of the historical with the modern and contemporary. Modern furniture in Brazil - at 5pm Writer Maria Cecilia Loschiavo dos Santos will present to the public a debate about her book “Móvel Moderno no Brasil” , originally published in 1995 and which became a reference in the history of furniture design, contributing to the process of revaluation of modern Brazilian furniture that occurred over the last two decades and which has now been reissued, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of its first publication. Lecture with editors of magazines in the architecture, decoration and design sector - at 6 pm Speakers: Alexandre Ferreira, editorial director of CASA Claudia; Clarissa Schneider, editorial director of Bamboo; Allex Colontonio, editorial director of KAZA; Marcelo Lima, editor of the Casa supplement of the newspaper O Estado de S.Paulo.
