Childhood Brasil , an organization founded by Queen Silvia of Sweden 24 years ago, will hold the first edition of the exhibition "
Art for the Protection of Childhood ", between October 24th and 26th, at Casa Higienópolis, in São Paulo. Curated by
Ana Carolina Ralston and consulted by
Jacopo Crivelli Visconti , both independent art curators, the event will bring together a selection of works that dialogue with the themes that surround the organization's pillars such as care, protection and reception.
Among the artists and galleries present are:
Tomie Ohtake (Nara Roesler Gallery), Camille Kachani (Zipper Gallery), Janet Vollebregt (Luis Maluf), Ernesto Neto (Fortes D'Aloia Gabriel), Joana Vasconcelos (Casa Triângulo), Leonilson (Almeida & Dale), Luiz Braga (Leme Gallery), Maria Nepomuceno (A Gentil Carioca) and Túlio Pinto (Millan Gallery). The event aims to reinforce
Childhood Brasil 's work in protecting children and adolescents, with a focus on combating sexual abuse and exploitation of girls and boys. The organization believes that art is an important tool for telling difficult stories and discussing this topic that is still a huge taboo in Brazilian society.
The program also includes the screening of the
short film “Eu Tenho Uma Voz” (I Have a Voice) and
guided tours of Casa Higienópolis , a mansion built at the beginning of the last century and listed as a Historical Heritage Site. Formerly known as
Palacete Nhonhô Magalhães , the space features eclectic architecture inspired by 19th-century French palaces and underwent a long restoration process lasting almost 10 years. The exhibition, sponsored by
Iguatemi, UBS and doTerra , is open to the public. Tickets cost between R$150.00 and R$190.00 (40% of tickets will be sold as half-price tickets) and can be purchased on the website:
https://www.sympla.com.br/produtor/childhoodbrasil. All proceeds will be donated to actions to prevent sexual abuse against children and adolescents. In partnership, CASACOR is offering a

Closing Cocktail for guests with a live performance by
