Concrete walls, cement floor, scenic lighting, design objects and a bathtub that is treated as a work of art: this is the Master Suite of CASA COR Minas Gerais 2016 , designed by Melina Mundim.
The space was designed for a cool couple who appreciate art and design. To achieve this, the professional opted for a very contemporary style, with an art deco touch. In all areas of the space, shades of brown, gray and gold predominate, which are given touches colored on Menotti Cordeiro's canvas and in a large image of jazz diva Billie Holliday.
In the suite, the highlight is the gold metal desk, designed by the architect; the rug, also designed by Melina, is inspired by Emilio Pucci prints, with colorful waves, which give the space a fashionable feel. The Natuzzi bed, crafted in leather with linen, and the leather and metal armchair, by designer Marceli Ligieri, are also highlights of the project.
The bathroom features a very important piece: the bathtub, hand-carved from a block of soapstone, which is transformed into a true work of art. The pendant light is covered in geometric stone mosaics, also reminiscent of the art deco style.
On the balcony, a spa, armchairs with torches, vases and a soapstone breakfast table create the ideal atmosphere for a peaceful retreat for the couple.
